A practical approach to cattle parasite control at housing

Liz Nabb, Veterinary Investigation Officer at APHA Starcross, will give an overview of internal and external parasites of cattle to consider at housing time and will cover:

•  How to use laboratory tests for a risk-based approach to treatment
• Treatment options, challenges and sustainable parasite control
• Ongoing surveillance projects for cattle worms at APHA

Harriett Chapman, Veterinary Surgeon at Coast 2 Coast Farm Vets, will briefly discuss what parasites she is seeing in practice at this time of year and highlight some of the resources and tools available to farmers to help them with decision-making.
