Meet us at the British Pig & Poultry Fair

Monday, 13 April 2026

With just one month to go until the British Pig & Poultry Fair (13–14 May), now is the perfect time to start planning your visit – we hope AHDB is firmly on your must‑see list.

The British Pig & Poultry Fair is one of the key dates in the pig industry calendar. It brings together producers, processors and industry partners to explore the issues, opportunities and innovations shaping the future of the industry.

Tickets are free, so if you haven’t already registered, now’s the time to do it.

Visit us on our stand

Across both days of the show, the AHDB stand will be a hub of activity, expertise and practical insight – we'd love to see as many levy payers as possible!

  • Meet the team, talk with AHDB experts about the issues that matter most to your business, ask questions and find out how levy investment is supporting the sector
  • Enjoy cookery demonstrations and samples from our popular LovePork recipes
  • Try our virtual reality headsets and experience pork production from a new perspective

Drop in across the two days, or if you’d like to book some time with one of the team to talk through a specific issue, please get in touch with us via email at: pork.events@ahdb.org.uk

Day one highlight

The show gets under way at 9:00am on day one with a morning address on our stand from Mark Haighton, AHDB Pork Sector Director.

Mark will set the scene for the event, outline the key issues facing our industry and talk about AHDB’s priorities that are supporting the pig sector.

And to make sure everyone starts the day well, Ladies in Pigs will be providing bacon sandwiches.

Join us in the Pig Forum Theatre

We're proud to support the Pig Forum Theatre at the fair, which will host a strong programme of focused, practical sessions across both days of the show.

Sessions will tackle some of the biggest topics facing pig producers, including:

  • 10:00am – Unlocking value: The global appetite for every part of the pig
  • 11:50am – Protecting pigs, protecting livelihoods: Industry approaches to African swine fever prevention and preparedness
  • 1:40pm – Beyond the Sunday roast: The recipes transforming perceptions of pork
  • 2:20pm – Three practical steps for protecting your farm from African swine fever

These sessions are evidence‑led, practical and consistently popular.
