Market commentary
- UK feed wheat futures (Nov-25) closed up £0.60/t (0.4%) at £166.55/t yesterday. The May-26 contract gained £0.45/t yesterday, closing at £176.90/t
- UK feed wheat futures gained yesterday, in line with global wheat futures. Paris milling wheat and Chicago wheat futures (Dec-25) increased by 0.4% and 1.3% respectively. Ahead of today's release of the USDA's World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE) report buying activity in Chicago wheat futures increased, which supported prices
- Expana increased its forecast for EU common wheat production in 2025/26 by 3.3 Mt to a record high of 136.1 Mt
- Paris rapeseed futures fell yesterday. The Nov-25 contract decreased by €1.25/t (0.3%) to close at €466.50/t. This was primarily due to profit-taking following two days of rising prices. Brent crude oil futures (Nov-25) fell by 1.7% at yesterday's close after three consecutive days of increases
- Meanwhile, Winnipeg canola and Chicago soyabean futures (Nov-25) increased by 0.6% and 0.8% respectively yesterday
