AHDB confirms attendance at Cereals 2019

Thursday, 2 August 2018

The Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) has confirmed it will be exhibiting at the industry’s Cereals event to be held at Boothby Graffoe, Lincolnshire on the 12 and 13 June 2019.

Martin Grantley-Smith, AHDB Cereals & Oilseeds Strategy Director, said: “Visitors to our stand this year supported our bold move to exhibit without our Recommended List plots. And with a growing demand for more regional focused RL information, we will adopt a similar approach to the Cereals event in 2019 alongside a regional event programme.

“Our industry will experience significant change over the coming years and our focus needs to remain on the technical challenges facing us all, as well as the inevitable exposure to fluctuating prices, currency swings and even adverse weather conditions. Building resilience to risk and providing the tools and services to manage these risks will remain high on our agenda.”

AHDB will be exhibiting at the heart of the show’s Agronomy Zone and will play a full role in supporting the development of the popular seminar programmes and provide industry expertise on relevant and topical subjects.

AHDB will announce further detail of its planned attendance at Cereals 2019 once its summer 2019 event programme is finalised later in the year. Regional arable connections events are planned for eight locations across the UK and will focus on AHDB RL plot trial sites allowing growers to explore variety and market options for their region.

Event updates will be announced at cereals.ahdb.org.uk/cereals and via the AHDB Cereals & Oilseeds twitter feed @AHDB_Cereals.
