About Rough Grounds Farm

Rough Grounds Farm is 161 ha in Derbyshire, farmed by first-generation farmers Graham and Justine, alongside their two children, Jess and Tom.

It is home to a mixed herd of 260 Jersey, Shorthorn, Friesian, and cross-bred cows on a split block-calving system. 

Through joining the Strategic Dairy Farm programme, Graham and Justine want to get more litres from forage, continue to improve what they are already doing and look at some infrastructure changes, such as improving their parlour.
