Overview

  • Keynote speaker Tom Martin. Farmer Tom to his friends. Tom will tell attendees how he turned his farm in to a modern profitable arable business using sustainable practices.
  • Megan Hesketh lead economist at AHDB will investigate whether history can help us plan our way out of the current financial crisis in cereal production
  • Global Platform Manager at New Holland running a session on new and innovative tech.
  • Conference partners Barclays bank will lead on how they are investing in modern technology to improve efficiencies for arable farmers.
  • There will also be panel sessions on Sustainable systems balancing profit and environment and a Grain markets panel concentrating on Quality, traceability and assurance in the supply chain where you can hear from Scottish experts and farmers and ask direct questions.
  • Lunch will be provided and the there will be plenty of time for networking. A tour of the new facilitates at the James Hutton Institute can also be arranged after the close of the conference for anyone wishing to attend this.
