The future of sustainable arable businesses

Part of our series of webinars detailing the results of Harvest 2022, this webinar will look at the ongoing trial at Strategic Cereal Farm East analysing multiple farm datasets to classify areas of land depending on their agricultural value. Building on these results, the Strategic Farm hosts will be discussing their thoughts on the future of environmentally and economically sustainable arable businesses, and sharing their plans for Strategic Farm Harvest 2023 projects and the future.

Trials covered:

• Marginal land trial results: The aim of this work is to conduct an analysis of multiple farm datasets to classify areas of land at Strategic Cereal Farm East that provide agricultural value. It also identifies those areas of land that have little agricultural value and potential for profit from an arable rotation and could be used in the future as an opportunity for implementing environmental schemes.
