Join us for the second Ripon Monitor Farm meeting of the season hosted by Jonathan Fryatt.

Welcome to the second instalment of the Ripon Monitor Farm winter meetings for 2023/24.

The chosen speakers will provide insight into the current funding streams available both nationally and locally and how you can combine some of these payments to enhance your income, productivity, and the environment.

By the end of the meeting, we hope you will be able to identify opportunities for how you could stack environmental payments based on your individual farm circumstances and be more confident in how these ecosystem goods and services fit into the bigger picture of building a resilient farm business in the wake of losing the Basic Payment Scheme (BPS).

This meeting will cover

  • Introducing on-farm stewardship options with Oakbank Game & Conservation
  • Stacking scenarios using our virtual farms with Jess Corsair (Senior Economist, AHDB)
  • How identifying natural capital opportunities can provide an additional boost to farm incomes, led by Jess Corsair (Senior Economist, AHDB)
  • Farmer panel session: Hear from three local farmers on their approaches to the planning and implementation of stewardship to mitigate risk, manage cash flow, and produce the best margin they can

Registration and refreshments will be available from 10:30am, with presentations commencing at 10:50am, and lunch will be provided.

BASIS and NRoSO points will be available for attending.

The event is free to attend, but please register to allow us to cater accordingly.
