Join us for this season’s second Chathill Monitor Farm meeting.

The chosen speakers will provide insight into the current funding streams available both nationally and locally and how you can combine some of these payments to enhance your income, productivity, and the environment.

By the end of the meeting, we hope you will be able to identify opportunities for how you could stack environmental payments based on your individual farm circumstances and be more confident in how these ecosystem goods and services fit into the bigger picture of building a resilient farm business in the wake of losing the Basic Payment Scheme (BPS).

This event will cover

  • Stacking scenarios using our virtual farms with Amandeep Kaur Purewal (Senior Policy Analyst)
  • How identifying natural capital and agri-environmental grain contracts opportunities can provide an additional boost to farm incomes, led by Megan Hesketh (Senior Cereals & Oilseeds Analyst)
  • Local funding schemes designed to improve productivity and conserve Northumberland’s valuable landscapes
  • Farmer case studies, Martin Lines (Nature Friendly Farming Network Chair and Cambridgeshire Farmer) will speak on how he is stacking various schemes to produce as much as possible at the best margin

Registration and refreshments will be available from 10:30am, with presentations commencing at 11:00am, and lunch will be provided.

BASIS and NRoSO points will be available for attending.

The event is free to attend, but please register to allow us to cater accordingly.
