Salisbury Monitor Farm Meeting - Characteristics of top 25% performing arable farms
You are invited to join us for the next Salisbury Monitor Farm Meeting.
We look forward to welcoming you to catch up on what has been happening with Ben Jeans at the Monitor Farm since we last met, how crops have established, and Ben’s latest agronomy and marketing plans.
Ben is conducting a number of on farm trials and we will review and discuss these to set objectives and strategy to ensure the results are meaningful
The meeting will be joined by Mark Topliff, Lead Analyst at AHDB to discuss what characteristics make a top 25% arable farmer. Are these variable or fixed cost items? Or is it down to the person?
Mark will look a research project he has worked on to identify these characteristics. He will also review some of his analysis looking at the last 5 years of C&O Farmbench results and a stab at what 2022 and 2023 figures could look like. The meeting will be interactive with live analysis of the Farmbench data base to investigate the relationships between different variable and fixed cost elements of arable production and net margin performance
Registration and refreshments will be available from 1045 with presentations commencing at 11:00 and a light lunch will be provided after.
BASIS and NRoSO points will be available for attending.
The event is free to attend, but please register to allow us to cater accordingly.
