Northumberland Monitor Farm: The value of good nutrition

This year, Alnham Farm is focusing on tightening up lamb finishing and removing late keep lambs to free up both pasture and labour resource. Nutrition of both the ewe and her lambs plays an important role in achieving this goal.

Emily Grant from farming consultants Forrit, who specialises in pasture-based sheep and beef systems.

Rhidian Jones of RJ Livestock Systems Ltd, who provides advice to livestock farmers on business management and technical issues along with group facilitation and specialist work encompassing nutrition, breeding, grassland and systems.
