Loppington Monitor Farm Meeting - IPM: what did we use to know?

Past Event - booking closed

Friday, 10 February 2023

10:00am - 2:00pm

Cockshutt Millennium Hall, Cockshutt, Ellesmere, Shropshire

SY12 0JF

You are invited to join us for the next instalment at Loppington Monitor Farm where we will discuss how the move to adopt integrated pest management (IPM) practices has re-emerged in the last decade.

For many years there has been an answer to our pest/weed/disease problems in a can, but is it possible that we have forgotten the IPM approaches that would have been used by previous generations that are necessary in the future? Can we look at treating the cause instead of the problem?

Also joining us will be Teresa Meadows (BASIS) who has recently completed a Nuffield Scholarship on increasing the uptake of Integrated Pest Management in UK arable farming.

Registration and refreshments will be available from 10:00 with presentations commencing at 10:15 and lunch will be provided.

BASIS and NRoSO points will be available for attending.

The event is free to attend, but please register to allow us to cater accordingly.
