Limavady Monitor Farm Meeting – Digging up the dirt on soil health

Please join Alistair Craig for the next Limavady Monitor Farm Meeting. 

Joseph Martlew (NIAB) will lead us on a journey to better understand our soils and how to best manage them to be healthy and resilient using the soil health scorecard.    

What will this meeting cover?

• Soil Health Assessments – how to measure soil health, choosing the right place to measure and interpreting the findings

• Impact of rotations – addition of organic matter, cultivations and impact of different crops and cover crops

• Improving soils – benefits, limitations, novel approaches and economics

Registration and refreshments will be available from 10:30 with presentations commencing at 10:50 and lunch will be provided.

BASIS and NRoSO points will be available for attending.

The event is free to attend, but please register to allow us to cater accordingly.

Please bring suitable footwear & clothing for a field walk.
