Kingsclere Monitor Farm launch and farm walk

We look forward to welcoming you to the launch of the new Kingsclere Monitor Farm with host Tim May. This will be an exciting opportunity to learn about the organic farming enterprises at Kingsclere Estates and head out on a farm walk.

This meeting will cover

• An introduction to the farm business, including cropping, agronomy, and soils
• A look at the machinery on farm, discussing cultivation and establishment techniques in an organic setting
• Fertility building leys and diversification

Tim rejoined the fourth-generation business 20 years ago. He completed a Nuffield scholarship in 2013 looking at sustainability and has since spent time developing a sustainable and resilient business to support the future generations of the family.

He joined the Monitor Farm programme in 2024 and hopes to learn from others. Tim is keen to trial elements within the organic farming system and share his experiences.

Registration and refreshments will be available from 10:00am, with presentations commencing at 10:20am.

Lunch will be provided at the end of the event. This meeting is free to attend, but please book a place so we can organise catering. 

BASIS and NRoSO points will be available for attending.

Please bring suitable footwear and clothing for a field walk.
