Kent: AHDB and NIAB meeting – Spring planting options (late-sown winter wheat vs spring cereals) and SFI
Join us for a joint AHDB and NIAB meeting.
We look forward to welcoming you to discuss the options for spring cropping following the wet autumn and winter.
We will be joined by Keith Truett NIAB (spring cropping and SFI comparisons), Henny Lowth AHDB (late sown winter wheat options) and Andrew Watson (spring agronomy and wheat fungicide strategy for 2024).
This meeting will cover
- Spring cropping options – Keith Truett will present interactive gross margins for spring cropping and how SFI can help
- Spring agronomy – Andrew Watson will discuss spring agronomy, focusing on the winter wheat fungicide strategy for 2024
- Late-sown winter wheat varieties
- Morghew Park Estate introduction and farm tour – Olly Batehup and Keith Truett
Registration and refreshments will be available from 10:00am, with presentations commencing at 10:30am. Lunch will be provided.
BASIS and NRoSO points will be available for attending.
Please bring suitable footwear and clothing for a field walk.
