Join us at Idlecombe Farm to discuss intercropping with Jerry Alford (Soil Association) and undersowing maize with Henny Lowth (AHDB).

This will be an exciting opportunity to learn about these topics and consider taking part in a proposed trial with undersowing maize on the island.

Ralph Smith will be hosting the farm walk looking at the crops in the ground and discussing plans for the farm.

This meeting will cover

  • Jerry Alford (Soil Association) will be presenting interrow cropping and the Leguminose Project
  • Henny Lowth (AHDB) will be discussing the undersowing of maize and the proposed on-farm demonstrations on the island
  • Farmbench update with Zoe Kingham

Registration and refreshments will be available from 10:ooam with presentations commencing at 10.20am.

Lunch will be provided locally after the farm walk with a departure time of approximately 2:00pm.

Please bring suitable footwear for the farm walk.

BASIS and NRoSO points will be available for attending.

The event is free to attend, but please register to allow us to cater accordingly.
