You are invited to join us for the Hereford Monitor Farm Meeting.

We look forward to welcoming you to catch up on what has been happening at the Monitor Farm since we last met as well as diving deep on cover crop costing, rotations and benefits.

Joined by guest speakers, Tim Stephens and John Martin. Tim is a catchment advisor for Wessex Water working with farmers on water quality improvement projects across Dorset, Wiltshire and Somerset. He has a particular interest in strategies for arable and livestock farms to reduce phosphate losses to water and has been involved with a number of cover crop nitrate-leaching reduction trials over recent years. In 2019 he completed a Nuffield Scholarship with the title ‘How can farmers keep nutrients out of water?’.

John Martin is a Dorset farmer and Soil Farmer of the year runner up 2020. John's farm is in an area which is highly protected for water quality and grows a wide range of cover crops to reduce nitrogen usage and improve his soils.

Registration and lunch will be available from 1pm with presentations commencing at 1.30pm.

BASIS and NRoSO points will be available for attending.

The event is free to attend, but please register to allow us to cater accordingly.
