Hampshire: Whitewool Farm Strategic Dairy Farm launch
Join us in person as we introduce you to our new strategic dairy farmers, Jamie and Will Butler, from Hampshire.
About Whitewool Farm
Jamie and Will Butler own a farming enterprise made up of Whitewool farm and Meon Springs (a fishery that also offers glamping, corporate days, clay shooting, self-storage, and events).
The farm has 1200 acres and is home to 400 Holstein-Friesian cows on an autumn block-calving system.
Through joining the Strategic Dairy Farm programme, Jamie and Will want to continue their journey to net zero and develop their farm further with the feedback from a steering group and local farmers that they will be hosting during their on-farm meetings.
This meeting will cover
- The story of Whitewool Farm – How Jamie and Will developed their business to focus on productivity and sustainability
- Genomic testing – How Whitewool Farm became one of the first to genomically test their herd and how the Herd Genetic Report tool can help you
- What Whitewool Farm is currently achieving
- What Whitewool Farm would like to achieve during the three-year Strategic Dairy Farm programme
