You are invited to join us for the FINAL Huggate Monitor Farm meeting!

For the last time, we look forward to welcoming you to the Huggate Monitor Farm where Gary will be sharing his experiences as a host, as well as the challenges and changes made on the farm over the past three years. We will also be looking at the opportunities for diversification at Huggate Wold Farm.

Farm Business Consultant Elliot Taylor (George F White) will then be guiding us on delivering a diversification project from initial concept through to project completion. We will then put our proposition forward to Mark Reid and Steve Dunkley (HSBC) who will share the banks decision-making process.

Finally, Adam Palmer, director at Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil, will be talking about his diversification journey and how he would approach the process now with the benefit of hindsight?

What will this meeting cover?

  1. Gary Shipley: Wrapping-up of 3 years as an AHDB monitor farmer. An introduction to the coach houses at Huggate Wold Farm.
  2. Elliot Taylor (George F White): Introduction to diversification, a case study from inception to completion.
  3. Mark Reid and Steve Dunkley (HSBC): The bank’s decision-making process on diversification projects.
  4. Adam Palmer (Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil): Learnings from a diversification success story.

Registration and refreshments will be available from 10:30 with presentations commencing at 10:50 and lunch will be provided.

BASIS and NRoSO points will be available for attending.
