Join us for a farm walk at Duxford Monitor Farm this summer.

We look forward to welcoming you to have a look at the cropping for harvest 2021 on-farm and a discussion as we go round on:

  • Nitrogen use efficiency and a look at the try-out that Tom has done this season using a range of nitrification inhibitors
  • Fungicide programmes and strategies, including a look at the AHDB ADAS Fungicide Challenge trial for this year…what strategies have the different entrants taken? How does this compare to yours on-farm – disease level, inputs, margin, yield potential?
  • Carbon calculators – have you completed one yet? Hear the findings from Tom’s carbon review and discuss the best next steps for the farm to reduce emissions
  • Break crops – see the break crops on farm this year including peas and oats – should OSR be considered for harvest 2022?

An opportunity to discuss current topics, thinking and happenings at your local Monitor Farm – Tom and Teresa Meadows look forward to seeing you then.

Speakers

  • Tom Mead, Duxford Monitor Farm host
  • Teresa Meadows, AHDB KEM (event organiser)
