Join us at Cornhill Farm for the launch of Pete Olds’ tenure as a new Cereals & Oilseeds monitor farmer.

We look forward to welcoming you to a well-known and respected family farming, contracting and grain storage operation for an introductory farm tour and to set the scene for the coming three years of arable-related discovery and discussion.

This meeting will cover

  • Farm system introduction and tour Pete will outline how the core arable enterprise integrates with poultry, contracting and grain storage on the farm with an associated discussion of machinery and wider policy
  • Crop walk – Andy, the farm's Hutchinsons agronomist will lead a walk of some of the wheat and other rotational elements
  • SWOT analysis – Having seen the system this is your chance to feedback on the current state of play and potentially guide subsequent meeting topics and discussions – a frank and open exchange about site-specific and shared (regional) challenges and opportunities

Registration and light refreshments will be available from 3:30pm with the programme commencing at 4:00pm. A hog-roast supper will be provided from around 6:00pm.

BASIS and NRoSO points will be available for attendees.

The event is free to attend, but please register to allow us to cater accordingly.
