Buckinghamshire & Bedfordshire Monitor Farm Meeting - Know your soils
You are invited to join us for the next Buckinghamshire & Bedfordshire Monitor Farm Meeting.
We look forward to welcoming you to catch up on what has been happening at the Monitor Farm since we last met.
We will be joined by Senior ADAS soil scientist Anne Bhogal who will discuss the outcomes of the recent review of the soils at the monitor farm.
What will this meeting include?
- Demonstration of the soil health scorecard approach and discussion of what actions can be taken based on the findings
- Soil assessments in the light of all the current requirements for soil testing (Farming rules for water, SFI soils standard – including the new soil health action plan Defra are discussing)
- What is required when you want to understand soil carbon stocks.
After visiting the farm, we will move to North Crawley Institute, High Street, North Crawley, Newport Pagnell, MK16 9LH (opposite the Chequers pub).
Registration and refreshments will be available from 9.30 am with presentations commencing at 10.00 and lunch will be provided.
