Matthew House has made significant changes to his grassland management to enable him to increase his suckler herd from 40 cows to over 200 head. Matthew is part of the AHDB beef from grass project and over the last three years has introduced rotational grazing, reseeding and outwintering.

This event will be an opportunity to learn more about the changes Matt has made and Charlie Morgan, the consultant working with Bowden Farms will explain the key focus areas when implementing outwintering including:

  • Feed budgeting
  • Choice of crop and establishment
  • Management of crop during grazing
