AHDB Recommended List Open Day Newmarket

Join us for an open day at the eastern region recommended list trials site.

We look forward to welcoming you at the trials site to see the AHDB Recommended List and other crop trials. There will be opportunities to discuss varieties, plant breeding, crop nutrition, marketing, IPM and technical updates with the experts on hand.

What will the demonstrations cover?

Throughout the day, we will be looking at and discussing:

• Winter Wheat: Recommended List trials, Saaten Union variety trials and milling quality plots, including a range of nitrogen inputs
• Winter and Spring Barley: Variety demo trials including BYDV resistant varieties
• Winter Rye: Descriptive List trials
• Winter Triticale: Descriptive List trials
• Spring Wheat: Variety trials
• Spring Oat: Recommended List trials

Demonstrators will be on hand to take you through the varieties and provide insight into their ratings, performance and yield outlook for the year ahead.

Tours of the trials will kick off every 45 minutes at 10:15, 11:00, 11:45, 12:30, 13:15, with the last tour at 14:30.

Catering will be available on site.
