Auction market price reporting
For many years, AHDB had a licence with the Livestock Auctioneers’ Association (LAA) to collect, cleanse and publish a range of auction market information.
From 1 January 2024, the LAA moved to a third-party data partner to allow them to commercialise their data. This means a proportion of the industry are required to pay to access the England and Wales auction market information that AHDB used to publish. As part of this change, AHDB also stopped publishing Scottish and GB data.
AHDB now have a licence agreement with the LAA to use their weekly information to support market insight and analysis.
AHDB are committed to providing levy payers with high quality and timely market information and continue to process and publish GB deadweight cattle and sheep price information each week. We also provide independent expert insight on the beef and lamb sectors through regular publications such as weekly cattle and sheep market wrap, in-depth analysis of both the beef and lamb markets and Agri Market Outlooks.
You can get the latest beef and lamb prices, news, insight and analysis delivered direct to your inbox by visiting the AHDB Preference Centre to keep in touch.
