Recommended Lists (RL) variety open days

Find out about major summer events that feature varieties on the AHDB Recommended Lists (RL) for cereals and oilseeds.

These events provide independent, evidence-based and unbiased views to help you make the best variety choices for your farm.

• Participate in plot tours of regionally relevant varieties
• Learn about candidate and recommended varieties from RL experts
• Discover how AHDB is working for your farm business
• Pick up practical information and resources

We set up this event series in summer 2025,  as levy payers requested more information about our variety trials in the RL review (2022–2023).

In 2026, the RL team has carefully selected two sites (a site in England and a site in Scotland) to host a variety open day.
