Trade deals in discussion

As a result of the UK leaving the EU, the way we trade with other countries and trading blocs has changed. The UK is now in control of its own trade deals, tariffs, and future opportunities in trade.

Following the decision to leave the EU, the UK Government developed the Build Back Better export plan. This envisioned the UK becoming a great trading nation and set a goal to reach £1trn in exports across all products (not just food and drink). The strategy focuses on securing Free Trade Agreements (FTA) and finding opportunities in emerging markets.

We will publish updates and analysis here on new FTAs and how this will impact the UK farming industry and British export opportunities.
