Trial updates

Cultivations trial

Hear an introduction to this trial and the results so far from Anne Bhogal and Frances Pickering (03.36), ADAS. See Rob’s update from the field (07:17). This trial is looking to determine the impact of different cultivation practices on soil quality and health, crop rooting and yield.

Pests and natural enemies

Emily Pope’s introduction to this trial and the field update from Rob Fox (02:23). This trial looks to determine the effect of perennial flower strips on selected invertebrate pests and natural enemies to investigate variation in species and abundance.   

Summer catch crops

This demonstration is looking to determine the effect of a summer catch crop on soil nitrogen supply, soil structure and the performance of the following crop in the rotation. Hear from Emily Pope on the trial layout and assessments and a field update from Rob Fox.
