Recommended Lists (RL) variety open days

Find out about major summer events that feature varieties on the AHDB Recommended Lists (RL) for cereals and oilseeds.

We already work with key organisations to showcase varieties at established summer events and major shows.

As levy payers asked us to provide more information about our variety trials in the most recent RL review (2022–2023), we opened the gates at some of our variety trial sites during summer 2025.

Carefully curated by our RL team, the hand-picked variety open day sites provided visitors with unique access to the most regionally relevant varieties.

Our experts were also on hand to discuss the merits of each variety, providing independent, evidence-based and unbiased views to help you make the best choices for your farm.
