Increasing children's understanding of where their food comes from
Our school farm visits support programme helps farmers provide impactful on-farm experiences for school children. We proudly sponsor LEAF Open Farm Sunday, which enables children to visit working farms; while our partnership with Countryside Classroom provides teachers with resources on food, farming, and the natural environment.
Countryside Classroom
We partner with Countryside Classroom to provide teachers and educators with an online platform to find resources, places to visit and school support relating to food, farming and the natural environment.
Open Farm Sunday
We are a sponsor of LEAF Open Farm Sunday. This event is an opportunity for members of the public to learn more about farming and the countryside. It is also a chance for farmers to talk about what they’re so proud of – British food and farming.
School farm visits support programme
We currently have 44 farmers participating in our school farm visits support programme. This programme is designed to equip farmers with the tools, knowledge and confidence to deliver impactful school visits in a safe and memorable way.
Applications for the 2024 cohort are now closed.
On-farm school conferences
Our on-farm conferences offer students hands-on experience in the agricultural industry to help increase their understanding of where their food comes from.
A-level resources
We have collaborated with LEAF Education to convert our technical resources into curriculum-aligned A-level materials.
RHET – All Things Dairy
We are excited to be sponsoring the Royal Highland Education Trust’s (RHET) ‘All Things Dairy’ for the new academic year. Activities include interactive teacher training sessions, new classroom resources and interactive online events.
