Increasing children's understanding of where their food comes from
Our school farm visits support programme helps farmers provide impactful on-farm experiences for school children. We proudly sponsor LEAF Open Farm Sunday, which enables children to visit working farms; while our partnership with Countryside Classroom provides teachers with resources on food, farming, and the natural environment.
School farm visits support programme
Are you new to or want to start school visits on your farm to help educate children about modern British farming? If so, we are excited to offer you the opportunity to take part in a new project to support farmers in delivering high-quality, safe and memorable on-farm experiences to schoolchildren.
Open Farm Sunday
We are a sponsor of LEAF Open Farm Sunday. This event is an opportunity for members of the public to learn more about farming and the countryside. It is also a chance for farmers to talk about what they’re so proud of – British food and farming.
Countryside Classroom
We partner with Countryside Classroom to provide teachers and educators with an online platform to find resources, places to visit and school support relating to food, farming and the natural environment.
On-farm school conferences
Our on-farm conferences offer students hands-on experience in the agricultural industry to help increase their understanding of where their food comes from.
