Doreen Anderson, Senior Knowledge Exchange Manager

Doreen joined AHDB in 2012 as part of the Farm Economics team and now leads on the Strategic Dairy Farms Initiative, as well as engaging with Scottish stakeholders.

Alan McFadzean, Knowledge Exchange Manager

Alan grew up on, and later ran, his family dairy farm in South West Scotland. He went on to work at Genus ABS in California as an RMS technician with an additional fertility remit.

James Hague, Knowledge Exchange Manager

James facilitates various discussion groups, covering both AYR and block-calving systems, as well as running open meetings and Strategic Dairy Farm delivery. He is passionate about delivering and encouraging levy payer involvement in R&D and knowledge transfer.

Jamie McCoy, Senior Knowledge Exchange Manager

Jamie joined AHDB after a 10-year career in knowledge exchange. Her particular areas of interest are business and people development.

Stephen West, Senior Knowledge Exchange Manager

Steve has established his own farming and cattle contracting enterprise. Most of his experience comes from higher output AYR calving systems.

Emily Collins, Knowledge Exchange Manager

Emily spent a year working in various livestock teams as part of AHDB's graduate scheme. She has a keen interest in youngstock and particularly enjoys running farmer discussion groups.

Daisy Green, Knowledge Exchange Manager

Before joining AHDB, Daisy worked on a 600-cow split block grazing farm with a special focus on youngstock and grass management. She also completed an agricultural science degree at Harper Adams University.

Thom Washbourne, Knowledge Exchange Manager

Thom’s background experience in dairy herd management and agricultural education has led to his passion for knowledge exchange supporting our levy payers. He enjoys working with farmers who are driven by technical or business development.

Laura Awdry, Knowledge Exchange Manager

Laura has been farming in the UK for the last 12 years and is based in Cornwall currently running a mixed farm with her husband, with a calf rearing unit, finishing dairy beef on a grazing system.

Nic Parsons, Head of Engagement

Prior to joining AHDB three years ago, Nic worked in agriculture manager roles in a major milk processor and retailer. Nic leads the Dairy Engagement team and supports liaison with Sector Council, levy payers and wider industry collaboration such as Dairy RoadMap and GB Dairy Calf Strategy activities.
