Aims and Objectives:

To develop outcome-based indicators of dairy cow welfare, which are practically feasible, scientifically robust and acceptable to stakeholders of the UK dairy industry.
1. Assess stakeholders' opinions of the acceptability of welfare assessment protocols;
2. Develop iceberg indicators of welfare in dairy cows; and
3. Provide credible evidence to dairy industry stakeholders on potential strategies for implementing outcome-based assessment of welfare.
