Sacha White

Sacha White has about 20 years’ experience of entomological research in arable and horticultural crops. He joined AHDB as a Lead Crop Protection scientist in 2024. He was a Principal Research Consultant at ADAS and led the Entomology Group. Sacha’s work focuses on integrated pest management (IPM), including work on major insect pests of cereals and oilseeds (especially cabbage stem flea beetle and aphids). He has led on several AHDB-funded IPM projects on insecticide resistance, non-chemical control and developing decision support tools. He is a member of the Insecticide Resistance Action Group (IRAG-UK) and the BCPC Expert Group on Pests and Beneficials.
