Mark Westgarth

Mark runs his family farm in North Yorkshire. Over the years, the farm has grown to consist of both owned and rented arable land and grassland, which is either rented out or in long-term stewardship schemes.

He has two breeding farms that produce 7 kg pigs, which are then taken through to finish on either owned or third-party farms.

Mark joined the Pork Sector Council to represent all producers of pork. After 30 years in the industry, he thought it was time to give back some knowledge and help with the challenges of the future.
