Kate joined AHDB in January 2023 as lead nutritionist, responsible for driving the consumer nutrition strategy and technical direction forward to effectively enhance the reputation of UK food and farming across a diverse mix of stakeholders and consumers.


Kate is a registered dietitian with over 20 years’ experience, with a passion to drive consumer behaviour change towards a diet that is good for human and planetary health.  


Being the daughter of a dairy and beef farmer and with family in the farming business, Kate has always had a strong passion and interest in food and nutrition. Her extensive experience in food retail and manufacturing has enabled her to work alongside and collaborate with policymakers, NGO’s and Civil Society to create the pace and facilitate change that can help make food choices healthier, more sustainably produced and accessible to all.


With her passion for science, insights, creativity and strong stakeholder relationships and marketing expertise, Kate is responsible for the development and implementation of nutrition and health campaigns and key nutrition influencer engagement plans to support strategic marketing objectives and the retailer health agenda.
