Chris was born and bred in Yorkshire and began working in a butchers at the age of 9, starting a lifelong love of meat. His commitment to the pork industry started in 1998, when he joined Cranswick plc and he became chief operating officer in 2015. His role is all about managing the operation of the business from farm to fork, and he is a familiar face within the industry. He is currently chair of the Butchers’ and Drovers’ Charitable Institution (BDCI) and a fellow of the Institute of Meat.
