Allan Bowie

Allan contract farms in partnership with his son and wife on 2,000 acres of arable land in the Dunfermline, Clackmannan area of Central Scotland. He produces oilseed rape, wheat, oats, malting barley, beans and crops for environmental schemes. He was past president of NFUS for two years and vice for five years, and still keeps a strong interest in agri-rural affairs. He strongly believes that AHDB should be fit for purpose and carry the trust and confidence of levy payers. Allan is looking forward to working with other council members and levy payers making a difference and shaping the future of farming in the UK.
