Biological products are attracting growing interest across UK arable farming. But with more products, terminology and claims entering the market, it can be difficult to know what’s supported by evidence, what’s realistic in practice and where biologicals could add value to your farm’s crop protection programme.

This practical roadshow will help farmers and advisers understand what biologicals are, how they work and where they may fit within commercial cereal and oilseed systems.

Through expert presentations and real-world examples, you’ll gain an independent, evidence-based view of this rapidly developing area.

Biologicals have potential, but their performance can vary depending on the product, target, crop, environment, application and wider management strategy.

The roadshow will explore where biologicals can realistically deliver and where the evidence is still limited or uncertain.

The aim isn't to tell you what to buy. It's to give you the knowledge and confidence to decide whether, where and when a biological has a place on your farm.

By attending, you’ll leave with a clearer understanding of:

• What biologicals are and how different product types work
• The difference between biostimulants, biopesticides and other biological product groups
• What current research and evidence tells us
• How biologicals can fit in an arable system, including their role within integrated pest management (IPM)
• How to assess consistency, cost, performance and return on investment
• How to design and interpret on-farm trials
• What to ask suppliers when assessing products and claims
