Integrated pest management in the north east

An overview of holistic practices used in the region. Perspectives from farmers on their potential to co-deliver crop protection and ecosystem services, and considerations for their future support.

Calling farmers in the North East of England*!

Would you be interested in sharing your experiences and views on integrated pest management (IPM) strategies to help develop an informative regional report?

Newcastle University’s Agri-Technology Research Fellow, Kirsty McInnes, is undertaking an explorative study to map the different IPM strategies being used in arable and mixed farming systems in the NE, and gain farmer perspectives on how associated future policy linked to IPM (and the potential to co-deliver ‘public goods for public money’) should be shaped.

This study will result in the development of a small report that will provide a general overview of current IPM practices used in the NE and highlight opinions that could help structure regional policies and drive collaborative research activities.

If you’d be interested in learning more about this study or chatting to Kirsty about IPM, please click the following link or you can contact Kirsty directly at: Kirsty.mcinnes@newcastle.ac.uk

All participants in the study will receive a £25 Amazon Gift Voucher as a thank you for their time. Kirsty will ask for your permission to include any experiences or opinions you share with her in the report (anonymised) and will not be offended if you would rather information you provided was omitted!
