Victoria Ashmore

Victoria’s main responsibility is managing the dairy genomic evaluation service delivery to ensure farmers/industry receive genomic evaluations in a timely manner to assist with breeding decisions and bull/cow selections. She also helps deliver the breeding mitigation for the Dairy Carbon Network project that enables a 1 to 1 conversation with farmers on their current genetic merit and where strengths/weaknesses may lie in the herd.

Victoria grew up on a lowland sheep farm which gave her a natural curiosity for data and genetics due to the use of EBVs in the breeding decisions of the pedigree and commercial flocks and now continues to run a small flock alongside her work. She graduated with a degree in Agriculture and Livestock Science from the University of Nottingham before starting at AHDB.
