Robert Venner is a partner with the auctioneers Greenslade Taylor Hunt, where he is partner in charge of Sedgemoor Auction Centre. He is a member of the Livestock Auctioneers Association and current Chair of Meat South West.

He also farms a pedigree herd of Aberdeen Angus in partnership with his mother in Devon.
