Joanna McBurnie

Joanna is an Environment Scientist supporting levy payers on environmental topics including soil health, crop nutrition and diffuse water pollution.

Prior to joining AHDB, Joanna worked in academia as a research fellow contributing to industry-focused sustainable soil management projects. These projects ranged from agricultural soil and water runoff management, country specific soil reviews, soil carbon assessment in newly created woodland and soil health benefits of green burials.

Joanna has a PhD in runoff and erosion control in Asparagus production systems and prior to that gained experience in the potable and wastewater industry.
