+ The potato has a definite place in the diet and is associated with good nutrition and health.
+ Due its nature as a food stable, potatoes are a significant source of Vit C, Vit B6 (pyroxidine), Vit B9 (folate) and a whole host of macro and microminerals.
+ The micro/macro-minerals and, to a lesser extent, the vitamins can survive processing and cooking methods.

The literature review identifies that, in opposition to general public opinion, the potato has a definite place in the diet and is associated with good nutrition and health.
