Will Shakeshaft

Will Shakeshaft is Managing Director for Greens Of Soham, part of Spearhead International.

Will is responsible for managing the business that produces a full integration of potatoes - from mini tuber production to final ware production along with seed, salad and processing; as well as diverse vegetable cropping. With his 20 years’ experience in the potato and vegetable sectors, Will has a strong passion for the industry as well as understanding the farmers perspective, both of which he can use with the board along with providing strategic direction on the future of UK farming.

Will was appointed to the board in April 2017, reflection of his time on the board so far, he said:

 “Farming is in my blood and I spent many hours working on the Lancashire mosses from a young age. I moved to East Anglia in the mid-nineties and soon after joined the potato industry. I am looking to provide the board with clear support as well as aid direction in this very difficult climate. I am excited to continue my role with AHDB and being a part of their future strategy planning and development”.
