Matthew Southam

Matt heads up the Retail and Foodservice Engagement team at AHDB. A business studies graduate from the University of Birmingham, Matthew joined the Meat & Livestock Commission in 2008, progressing to a Senior Consumer Insight analyst at the newly formed AHDB, providing market data and insights to the Red Meat supply chain.  Matthew then joined Hilton Meats Retail as Marketing Manager, providing category management support to Tesco’s red meat teams. In late 2013, he returned to AHDB, managing EBLEX’s multiple retail trade marketing before progressing to Head of Retail & Foodservice Engagement at AHDB in 2018.
