Anne Marie Hamilton

Anne-Marie and her partner have a tenant farm with suckler cows, finishing followers both in bull beef systems, and extensively using conservation grazing. They have 300 breeding ewes, with lambs marketed live via local markets. A growing boxed beef and lamb business that sells directly to the consumer is an important part of the farm business. Anne-Marie lectures (part-time) in livestock health, welfare and production at an agricultural college, as well as being responsible for integrating the college’s herd of suckler cows and flock of 250 breeding ewes within the curriculum.
