Roots to Resilience: Consultants

Join Dallas Mount, of Ranch Management Consultants, to learn how to unlock your client’s full potential through a systems-based approach.

This training event is tailored to agricultural consultants, advisers and professionals who are passionate about enhancing their knowledge in systems-based thinking and applying it to drive positive change on farm.

Farming is constantly evolving, and farmers want to know the best way to move their businesses forward. However, instigating positive change on farm can often prove challenging for several reasons.

In recognition of this, AHDB has a new programme called Roots to Resilience. As part of the programme a two-day training event will be held on 11 and 12 December in Daventry and Sutton Coldfield, hosted by Dallas Mount, owner of Ranch Management Consultants.

Key takeaways

During the event, we will cover:

  • Exploring the social side of farm consulting
  • Resistance to change and how to overcome it
  • Facilitating healthy conflict and dialogue
  • Effective teaching strategies
  • Incorporating systems thinking and social dynamics into your work

The Roots to Resilience programme recognises that systems-based thinking is a critical skill set for modern agricultural consultants. It also recognises that farmer decision-making is not solely driven by economic factors and that is why the course will also incorporate the “human element” of farming and will be delivered with systems thinking at its heart.
