The retail and foodservice markets are key drivers for the GB industry. Within foodservice 3.2bn dishes containing potatoes were served in the year ending June 2019.

  • Contract catering college/school: Workplace. Not free
  • Full-service fine dining: Chain restaurant; independent restaurant; pub restaurant
  • Leisure & travel hotel: Leisure facilities
  • Quick service restaurants fast food outlet: Coffee shop/cafe; supermarket/convenience store to-go; department store/supermarket cafe; sandwich retailer; street food vendor

This data covers food purchased and consumed out of home. It excludes meals eaten under 18s and tourists.
