At a glance
- With clearer weather this week, there were reports of growers still trying to get crops out of the ground. The majority of freshly lifted crops have gone straight to market with longer term storage unlikely.
- The remainder of the crop may not come out before spring. Fry colours for the crop left in the ground could be impacted and how much of the crop will be usable is uncertain.
- Quality continues to be the key driver for price. Best quality supplies are continuing to demand a premium to incentivise movement.
