At a glance
- There were still some reports of growers attempting to lift where possible. However, the majority with crop left are planning to attempt again in the spring. Processing crop left in the ground will likely see damaged fry colours and may not meet quality requirements.
- Crops that have been lifted this week are being sold quickly, as they are not suitable for storage. So far, stores appear to be keeping well with no reports of major breakdown.
- Most domestic trade remains contracted, with free-buy trade limited to top-up loads where required. Prices for best quality remain strong due to limited availability.
